Ah, the rules. A necessary but boring and often odious part of interaction in society. I don’t know about any of you, but we hate rules, so we’re gonna try and keep this as brief as possible. Okay? Okay!

Rule One

Be kind. All other rules are based on this principle. We want this to be a good place for folks to hang out. If you’re ever in doubt, ask yourself the following questions: “does this need to be said”, “does this need to be said by me“, and “does this need to be said by me right now“? If the answer to any if those questions is “no”, you’re probably better off not saying it.

Rule Two

Please abide by all staff directives. We are here to ensure that all members have a good time – or at least, less of a bad one. When we make requests, it’s in the best interests of all members, and we appreciate if they’re followed.

Rule Three

Insulting or otherwise speaking down to somebody based on their ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, age, disabilities, or any other properties beyond their control is absolutely not allowed.

This includes using “narcissist”, “sociopath”, and “psychopath” as a cudgel, alongside other cluster B personality disorders.

This also includes sysmedicalism and transmedicalism! These ideas will not be tolerated.

Rule Four

Generative AI – including LLMs – is not allowed. Don’t post stuff generated by them, and ideally, commentary on them would be kept to a minimum.

Rule Five

In addition to violations of the above, staff members reserve the right to ban somebody for any reason. This is solely to prevent rules lawyers from complaining that no specific infractions were brought against them, despite repeatedly acting in a way that disrupts the community. Abuse of this rule will be taken very seriously by the staff, so if you feel that it’s being abused, please don’t hesitate to bring it to one of us.

Rule Six

Please do not be the reason that we have to extend this list. We have only a few rules because we want to trust our members. Please help us to keep it that way!
